CULTURAL DIVERSIFICATION
DAS Aviation School serves as a hub for multicultural students,
welcoming individuals from countries like Kenya, Central African Republic, South Sudan, Rwanda, Sudan, Burundi, Somalia and Uganda among others. As a school fostering cultural diversity, global education, and international understanding, we have designed rich training programs inculcating actives that ensure the development of
sensitivity towards other cultures, hence expanding horizons, tolerating
differences, and appreciating diversity.
We celebrated a vibrant and inclusive cultural day where all
students showcased cultural diversity through traditional outfits, memorable
stories, music and dance.
Culture is an
exploration of fashion, talent, values, community beliefs and discipline.
Our students showcased talents through music and dances across regions, for example the larakaraka, ekitaguriro, maganda and Yakoma from Central African Republic.
Students poured their hearts out into the amazing day, infusing each act with
passion.
Leadership as a norm is highly valued as a factor in
successful cultural diversity planning and outcomes. This was appreciated
through the student leaders’ handover ceremony at the same event. A token of appreciation to
the old regime that excellently executed their duties, exhibited remarkable
leadership skills and became an inspiration to other students.
The old cabinet led by Mirembe Valentine, the President,
officiated the session and welcomed the new cabinet, assuring them of their full
support throughout the journey.
This is superb and uplifting. Really makes me proud of my African heritage. Hope you also shared photos of the dances. Will look up the yakoma. Thanks again and keep it up DAS!
